Here is a Jeep grill used for reference. Despite the obvious "eyes" and "mouth", it's actually very difficult to turn a jeep grille into a skull. The seven bar "mouth" is very high between the very widely spaced headlight "eyes" which is radically different that a human type skull. If you stray very far from the original proportions of the Jeep grille, it still doesn't look much like a human plus you lose any reference to the jeep and just end up with a goofy looking skull. I decided to stay close to the jeep propportions, but do something withe jeep that nobody's seen. I split the seven bars into nasty teeth, warped the headlights into squinted eyes and used the CJ blinkers as hollowed out cheek for a raoring monster skull. Cool!
